New Year’s 2005

7:48pm by rudeboy in category: General

Amanda and MercedesGlückliches Neues Jahr alles! See there, I knew five years worth of German class would come in handy some day.

I prefer the small, festive gatherings; family on X-Mas, friends on New Year’s and both turned out great. We all spent New Year’s at Dave’s place. A lot of people passed the evening playing Call of Duty 2 and various card games we couldn’t be bothered to figure out. Luckily no nerds were stepped on over the course of the evening. The rest of us stuck to our tried and true tradition… booze!

I spent the rest of the night driving around with Amanda who didn’t want to go home right away. Despite my best efforts I couldn’t manage to get lost in South Anchorage, nor could I find South High School for that matter. Despite that Amanda did her best to smoke at every high school in town. She’s flying home tonight and I can already foresee a very lazy day tomorrow watching some movies and finishing off the last of my Guinness.

Pictures are up.

» Venezuela sends 300 tons of food to Haiti. Bush sends 500 tons of bombs to Iraq. Chavez feeds, Bush kills.

» Build a ‘Mame Brain‘ for under $150.

» The case for net neutrality is pretty clear. Should it fail this is what you have to look forward to.
